MEANING:
The significance of loyalty in Chinese culture is multifaceted. At the level of traditional culture, loyalty is the spiritual bond between a person and his or her country and society. It can be said that "loyalty" is, to a large extent, the basic moral code for individuals to deal with themselves, their families, society and the State. For thousands of years, this idea has inspired the majority of people and pushed the Chinese nation to move forward. In modern society, the meaning of "loyalty" has also changed. Individuals or groups in democratic societies governed by the rule of law can also be called "loyal" for their identification with and commitment to their community and its responsibilities, such as loyalty to the motherland (patriotism) and loyalty to one's duty, based on universally recognized moral or mainstream social values.
